| Golf is a sport in which players strike a small ball into a hole (often referred to as a cup) using special clubs. It is one of the few ball games that does not use a fixed playing area. Instead, Golf is played on a large outdoor course with a series of 9 or 18 holes spaced at varying distances. The game starts with the player at the teeing area and the players objective is to sink the ball with as few strokes as possible into the cup on the putting green. This is repeated for each of the holes and the players total number of strokes is then tallied, the player with the lowest score wins. |
